A recent report from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler claims that the Dallas Cowboys will be prioritizing getting a new deal done with quarterback Dak Prescott over doing so with Ceedee Lamb or Micah Parsons.
This news comes following OTA's - where Lamb was a holdout. With fellow wide receiver Justin Jefferson recently getting a new deal worth $140 million, it's apparent that the Cowboys' WR1 wants to waste no time in securing his bag as well. This news also follows Micah Parsons reportedly saying that he wants to be the highest paid non-quarterback in the NFL.
Perhaps the Jacksonville Jaguars put pressure on Dallas when they signed their quarterback Trevor Lawrence to a $55 million per year deal earlier this week. The expected price tag for the Dallas Cowboys to pay to retain their star quarterback keeps going up, and the Jags did not help. Neither will the Dolphins, when they presumably sign their star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to a new deal, as league insiders expect them to.
The Cowboys have a trio of stars that are getting more and more expensive to maintain by the day - and some may be getting impatient. Our newest question to ask: will Ceedee Lamb continue his holdout into training camp?
